Trending: DoT's 'It's More fun Memes'

So, this is my first blog entry, and I don;t want it to be bare or simple but not too extravagant. I want it to be meaningful. 

Just last Friday, the Department of Tourism released two logos as part of their branding strategy. 


The first logo was designed for the international audiences while the second one was meant for the locals, which they can use as a hashtag to their Twitter updates.

The word 'fun' was coined because it is easy to remmber. The banig in the logo symbolizes the creativity of native weavers, which also signifies that creative process in this campaign sums up the Filipino's inborn skills.

Issue

Just hours after the unveiling of the new campaign, people from social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook expressed their disappointment after seeing the 60-year old tourism campaign of Switzerland. It has the same slogan with our new campaign.
